Have you ever created a long project on AI and looked it over and felt… disappointment? Maybe it has absolutely everything you want except for one quality: the writing is robotic.
Ouch.
It’s not a joy to read, maybe the rhythm is all off. And you know, that if the writing sounds less than human, people don’t want to read it. It’s like their nervous systems reject it.
Well, now we’ve got AI humanizers for free. You can just plug in your text and it’ll compute something charmingly human for you.
But now there are so many free AI humanizers on the market. It’s hard to know which one will deliver what they claim they can deliver.
I will review some of the most popular free AI humanizers on the market. I will grade them based on two characteristics: how human the text sounds and how easy is it to use that service.
Using an AI that provides wonderful text but has full-page pop-up ads every moment you’re on the page is… not good.
AI that has a clean interface but weirdly robotic text, well… defeats the entire purpose of using the service.
And all of the AI humanizers I will rate will be FREE. So, you can expect to keep using free features, even beyond the expiration of a free trial.
Let’s begin!
HumanizeAIText, The Worst Free AI Humanizer
So, below I’ve used some sample text of a blog post using AI. I made this blog post with Gemini which usually does quite good writing. It usually has a bit of emotional tone still associated with it. So, I ran it through one of the WORST AI’s for tone, Claude AI. This will for SURE create the robospeech that we need to remove with the humanizers. Here’s what it looks like now:
Finding the Perfect Visuals For Your Presentation Using AI: Don’t worry, I’m here to guide you through sourcing visuals that will enhance your content beautifully. While I can’t directly retrieve images for you, I can certainly help you brainstorm ideas and suggest useful search terms. Simply describe the type of visual you need, like “a chart showing sales growth over time,” and I’ll offer some keywords and tips to point you in the right direction. We’ll find those perfect visuals together.
It’s like a creepy doctor who cares too much. I’ll be using this paragraph with the Top 3 AI humanizers I list today. Let’s see how well they do making this more human.
First impressions of HumanizeAIText: It’s not a pretty site but it is a simple one. It has the text box you paste your words into and the space underneath for output. It does have some full-page ads, which are annoying, but they do go away pretty easily. So that’s a bonus. Here is what Humanize AI did with my prompt:
____
This application actually led me to another screen on a DIFFERENT WEBSITE compelling me to sign in before I receive my results. Unfortunately. This trial was a dud.
Grade: F
Junia AI Text Humanizer
First impressions: The site has nice mood lighting. There are no ads, which may change in the near future. The interface is clean and simple. It’s making me instill some trust in Junia.
So, here’s what Junia did with my sample text:

It gave the same text back to me.

Rewriter Pro AI
Simple interface. No Ads. Unfortunately, you can only use it 3 times a day. But most people will only need to use it that much anyway so, it’s pretty good to go.
This one knows it’s audience. The site text says it’s specifically concerned with removing detection of plagiarism. It’s not about sounding “human” per se. But let’s see what it does for my text:

REWRITER PRO’S VERSION:
Need the right pictures for your talk? I’m here to help find images that’ll make your message pop. Though I can’t pull up pictures for you, I’m great at coming up with ideas and suggesting what words to search. Just tell me what kind of picture you’re looking for, like “a graph of rising sales over time,” and I’ll give you some tips and keywords to steer you in the right direction. Let’s work together to get those perfect images.

I’m not crazy about the way that it rhymed at the beginning, that was pretty cheesy. But it’s easy enough to change. This is good. It DOES actually look like a human wrote it. And it’s quality writing, cheesiness not withstanding.
Grade: A
I was always taught that simple writing was better. Poetry always comes second to “conversational” writing in every medium that isn’t, well, poetry. People roll their eyes at the clever stuff. And the previous Humanizer has some simple charms.
I would definitely use this service if I wanted to write emails with AI. It’s charming enough for an email but not compelling enough to use in sales and marketing materials.
I know a lot of you are using this to outsmart plagiarism. I’m not sure that this service succeeds at that. The text has got a lot of style that you wouldn’t want in an academic paper. You’ll still probably have to rewrite a lot in your own words. Which actually… Isn’t plagiarism anyway.
I wish you the best of luck working with AI. It’s an exciting way to write, isn’t it?
Love,
